Concept:
To create a drab world
where the workers
see the same bare, industrial
look through out the
building. This allowed
for minimal set dressing
and for projections to
quickly, and easily shift
us for one location to another.
Projections were a huge part of the design to move us from one location to another.
We used a live feed for all the bedroom scenes in the show.
The big reveal of bedroom was a 4 part process that started with two of the side walls pivoting open.
Step 3 was the two most center walls folding open to reveal more of the bed room to the audience.
Step 4 was the walls rotating to be angled so the entire audience could see the bed room
The walls would finally spin completely around and unfold to convert us into room 101
With doing a live feed of the bedroom, I had to do a fully dressed bedroom.
